It’s time to practise your swing and exercise your good will in time for the Youth Solutions 2016 charity golf day.
It’s on Friday, April 1, and that’s no April Fools joke.
This annual golfing event is a major fundraiser for Youth Solutions, with proceeds used to fund drug and alcohol prevention and health promotion programs for young people in Macarthur and Wingecarribee.
Five Macarthur region organisations have already jumped on board as hole sponsors for the event, which will be held at Campbelltown Golf Club, with others booking teams and tickets to throw their support behind the youth charity.
Youth Solutions chief executive officer Geraldine Dean is calling on other community members and businesses to get involved, support the cause and enjoy a great day out on the green.
“What better way to spend a Friday afternoon than out on the green with your friends or colleagues, sharing a laugh and raising funds to help support and empower young people in our community?” Mrs Dean said.
“On behalf of the Youth Solutions family we would like to thank the incredible businesses who have already thrown their support behind the event by taking up a sponsors package: Bradcorp, Grace Information and Records Management Sydney, Profit Advantage Group, Roosters Traffic Control and TLD Logistics.”
Mrs Dean said the annual Youth Solutions charity golf day was a great event which brought the community together in an effort to improve the health, wellbeing and resilience of young people.
“Educating and supporting our young people is the key to ensuring a strong and resilient community now and in the future,” she said.
“The support people give to Youth Solutions through this event helps us to promote the health of young people, empower them to make safer choices and prevent them from harm.”
Starting at 12 noon with a light lunch and registration, players will tee off at 1pm.
Players will be treated to carts and drinks on the course and will be given the chance to put their skills and knowledge to the test in a range of on-course activities which will give them a shot at some great prizes.
The nine holes of golf will end with the presentation of prizes while players enjoy food and drinks.
Book a team of four for $400 or secure an individual ticket for $110. Hole sponsorship is available for $300, or hole sponsorship combined with a team of four will set you back just $700.
