A 25 year old woman has become the latest fatality on Appin Road.
She died at the scene after a collision with a truck early last evening.
Police are now investigating the circumstances surrounding yet another fatal crash on Appin Road.
They say that shortly after 5.30pm a 45-year-old man was driving a refrigeration truck north on Appin Road, while a 25-year-old woman was driving her Holden Cruz heading south.
About 2km south of Copperfield Drive, Rosemeadow the truck and car collided head-on.
The driver of the Holden suffered fatal injuries and she died at the scene.
The driver of the truck was taken to Liverpool Hospital where he was admitted suffering back and neck pain.
Investigators from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit attended the scene on Appin Road and are conducting a full investigation.
A 41 year old man died in a crash on Appin Road late in January this year.
In the wake of that tragedy, the minister for roads visited Appin Road last month to see for himself what is needed to be done to make it safer for motorists.
♦ In other police news, a critical incident investigation has been launched following the death of a man at Bradbury overnight.
Police from Campbelltown Local Area Command were called to an address in Airdsley Lane, Bradbury, following reports of a domestic dispute between two men and a woman.
On arrival to the address police were called to a vehicle parked outside the home where two men appeared to be involved in an altercation.
In circumstances still under investigation, police discovered one man, aged 36, deceased.
The second man, aged 47, was arrested and taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he is assisting with inquiries.
The woman is also assisting police with their investigation.
A critical incident team will now investigate all circumstances surrounding the incident.
That investigation will be overseen by the Professional Standards Command.
