Stockland Willowdale has launched its community grants program for 2017, inviting local community, arts and sporting groups and organisations to apply for funding.
Local community organisations are encouraged to apply for funding for an individual grant of up to $1,000 from Willowdale.
Stockland will lend a hand to more than 280 organisations across Australia this year with around $300,000 set aside to support worthy community-building groups and activities.
The Stockland Community Grants program has been running successfully since 2014 with over $640,000 in funds distributed to date to more than 500 community groups.
Jonathon Lawson, senior development manager at Stockland, said: “Stockland Willowdale is proud to once again support local organisations from the City of Campbelltown that play such an integral part in supporting the community.
“We hope these Stockland community grants will help to make this community an even better place to live, work and play.”
Michael Rosmarin, chief operating officer at Stockland, said: “Stockland is proud to once again lend a hand to community groups across Australia with the 2017 Stockland Community Grants program.
“Through this program we recognise and support the important local community organisations that make such a difference in their communities every single day.
“After the tremendous success of the program over the last three years, we’re very pleased to commit around $300,000 in 2017 to directly support local community groups who make a valuable contribution to the community, helping build vibrant places to live, work, retire, shop and play – now and into the future,” he said.
The 2017 Stockland Community Grants program will once again be assessed against a range of criteria, with applicants encouraged to outline their intended contribution to the local community across Stockland’s community and environmental focus areas of health and wellbeing; education; community connection; biodiversity; waste and materials; carbon and energy and water management and quality.
Previous recipients of the Stockland Community Grants program have included local environmental groups, animal care and welfare groups, local charities, local primary and high schools seeking additional funds to launch special, community-based programs, as well as a host of local sporting, special interest and social clubs.

We are proud to be supporting local organisations across the country whose great work, dedication and commitment are an essential part of making any community thrive.”
Stockland’s Community Grants program is accepting entries until 5pm on Friday, March 31.
Winners will be selected based on a range of criteria relating to Stockland’s key community and environmental focus areas of health and wellbeing; education; community connection; biodiversity; waste and materials; carbon and energy and water management and quality.
The grant recipients will be announced from mid-June 2017.
Stockland Community Grants is an annual program run across its retail, retirement living and residential portfolios.
