Try time for the Wests Tigers against Souths.
Jumping for joy: Wests Tigers celebrate another try last night in the 30-14 win against South Sydney at Homebush.

Luke Brooks may have been named man of the match after Wests Tigers beat Souths 30-14 last night, but the honour could have gone to half a dozen of his teammates.

His halves partner in crime, Mitchell Moses, was excellent in general play, although his radar was not working that well when taking conversions.

Fullback James Tedesco was a threat every time he handled the ball.

He came off a few minutes before the end after being felled in a tackle in what must be a worrying sign for coach Jason Taylor.

Tedesco has become an obvious target for opposition teams this year and most of the tackles on him are hard but legitimate.

But in among that are some dubious ones, including some tackles which are very close to his neck.

Robbie Farah, coming off the bench, had one of his best games for Wests Tigers for a while, while both the forwards and the backs chipped in for a brilliant all round performance.

And they played well for 80 minutes, which pleased Taylor and he said so after the match.

The boys now go to the bye with their sixth win under the belt and the belief that they can snag one of the finals places come September.

If they keep playing like they did last night there’s no doubt they’re good enough to rattle a cage or two.
