Blairmount Primary School students were treated with a roadside art exhibition when Landcom used their artworks for the temporary fencing design along Rosslyn Drive in the new Claymore estate, Hillcroft.

Landcom, who are leading the redevelopment of the new Hillcroft community, were impressed by the student entries into a local Five Ways to Wellbeing Schools Creative Project, and hoped that it would bring some colour and life to the busy construction area.

The schools creative project was run during Mental Health Month in October 2020 and was led by Claymore Fusion – a partnership with local community and government organisations and Claymore residents

The partnership addresses various issues in its local community, including mental health and wellbeing.

The creative project aimed to positively promote the Five Ways to Wellbeing, and all the posters submitted highlighted one or more of the five ways.

The Five Ways to Wellbeing are simple actions that people can take in their everyday life to improve their wellbeing, and their ability to cope with the ups and downs of life.

The Five Ways are Connect, Give, Take Notice, Keep Learning, and Be Active.

The creative project encouraged students and their families to think about the simple things in their lives that helped their own wellbeing.

“The entries submitted impressed the judges and showed just how broad wellbeing really is, from pets and family, to sport and friendship,’’ says Rosemary Rumbel, from the Claymore Fusion group.
