VIP release of 44 lots on tomorrow at noon at Brighton Lakes

Mirvac will hold a ballot at noon tomorrow (August 28) to determine who will have the chance to purchase the first VIP release of 44 homes at Mirvac’s newest master planned community, Brighton Lakes in Moorebank.

Since signalling its intention to develop around 300 homes on a portion of the Brighton Lakes Recreation and Golf Club overlooking the Georges River, Mirvac has been inundated with prospective buyers interested in the lifestyle masterplan community.

With approval in hand for 44 homes Mirvac elected to hold the ballot to ensure a fair and transparent process for purchase, capping the number at 150. Those lucky 150 will have a chance to purchase on Saturday, September 5, when sales commence.

More than 500 prospective buyers have registered their interest and paid a deposit to go into the first ballot draw.

Brighton Lakes is being developed in partnership with Brighton Lakes Recreational and Golf Club and will help to secure the long term future of the club, funding a new clubhouse with dining, social and recreation facilities, and an upgrade and reconfiguration of the golf course.

The wider community will also benefit from the return to public ownership of a strip of river foreshore land which will form part of a wider Liverpool City Council plan to transform the Moorebank stretch of the Georges River into the “jewel of Liverpool”.

Mirvac Head of residential John Carfi said the announcement that sales would commence came as a relief to the many people who had been waiting for some time to purchase in the community title masterplan estate.

“Our greatest challenge has been dealing with the huge volume of people who want to buy at Brighton Lakes,” Mr Carfi said.

“It is a truly unique and exciting development with homes to be built on an established golf course complete with mature trees and lakes.

“It is an area that is being transformed with premium new housing development and revitalisation of the natural environment.

“Shopping and education facilities are well established and the recent upgrade to the M5 has made it an even faster trip for commuters.

“Brighton Lakes will be a very special place to live with a Community Green for the exclusive use of residents and we look forward to beginning construction of the first homes this year.”

Mr Carfi said the ballot system had been trialled at its final land release at The Avenue, Schofields, last month and would be utilised where demand far exceeded supply.

The 300 Mirvac Ready Homes to be built at Brighton Lakes will comprise a mix of three to five bedroom one and twostorey, attached and detached homes plus two-bedroom “Fonzie apartments” designed with first home buyers in mind.

A community green at the heart of the development will include a tennis court, swimming pool, playground and barbecue facilities for residents.

♦ Pricing:

Two bedroom Fonzie apartment from $529,900

Three bedroom from $709,900

Four bedroom from $774,900

Five bedroom from $924,900

The ballot will be held at Brighton Lakes Golf Club from 12 noon, Friday, 28 August.

Sales commence 8am, Saturday, 5 September, at Brighton Lakes Sales Office, corner Christiansen Boulevarde and Brickmakers Drive, Moorebank.
