
Two men were injured during a home invasion near Campbelltown overnight.
Police say that at about 1.40am today (Monday, October 13), emergency services responded to reports of a home invasion in Hamlet Crescent, Rosemeadow.
Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command were informed that between three to four men armed with a double barrel shot gun and two machetes forced entry through the front door of the home.
The assailants were wearing dark clothing, including gloves and face coverings.
Once inside the home, two men aged 53 and 19 were assaulted.
Four women aged in their 20s who were home at the time were uninjured.
The men left the premises without any proceeds and were last seen running into nearby Lear Place.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 53-year-old man for facial lacerations and the 19-year-old man for minor injuries.
Both were taken to Campbelltown Hospital in a stable condition and a crime scene was established.
Police said the incident was believed to be targeted.
