There’s more to Business Ladies Golf than playing the game

Kim Teale was among 15 locals who took part in the most recent Business Ladies Golf course at Lakeside Golf Club Camden.

The course was held from January to March and for Kim Teale it was an opportunity for a bit of a refresher of her golf skills.

The local golfer took part in her first ever Business Ladies Golf course back in October – November last year.

Kim says she has made several new friendships with ladies who had never played golf before but were eager to learn the game.

“For a lot of us we did the course because we wanted to have the opportunity to play with our partners on weekends at Lakeside,’’ she said.

“With the skills we picked up at the course now we can also take part in local charity golf days to help local groups and their fundraising efforts, as well as meet more people socially,” Kim said.

Kim also confesses that after some time off she enjoyed the refresher course and now both appreciates the game more and feels much more confident in her own golfing abilities.

“Following the completion of the course, the ladies caught up on the driving range the week after to hit some balls and the subsequent week to play six holes of golf.’’

Business Ladies Golf it is a six-week course at Lakeside Golf Club Camden and held on Tuesdays between 5.30pm and 7.30pm.

The next round of Business Ladies Golf will be offered in October, when daylight saving time returns.
