Campbelltown City Council is reviewing its current provision of community facilities to make sure they are able to meet the existing and emerging needs and interests of the growing local community.
RPS and Cred Consulting have been engaged to deliver a Community Facilities Strategy that will guide the future provision and management of community facilities across Campbelltown City.
Council is currently inviting input from the community to help shape the strategy.
Community facilities play an important role in the lives of our residents, providing the places where people meet, learn, keep fit and healthy, and socialise within our community; and the ideas and aspirations of residents will be integral to the development of the strategy and its recommendations.
Until July 7, residents can share their ideas via an online, interactive community map which is available on council’s website, allowing them to drag and drop icons onto the relevant location on the map and leave comments, suggestions or even photos on community facilities of interest to them – from child care, health and library facilities, to community centres, recreation, sporting and cultural facilities.
Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr George Brticevic, said the development of the strategy would be important in ensuring the community’s needs were met into the future, with the city facing unprecedented growth in the coming decades.

“The development of the community facilities strategy will address this growth, while identifying any unmet needs for certain types of facilities and how those gaps might be incorporated into flexible, multi-purpose facilities.”
“I encourage residents to share their thoughts via the interactive online survey, and to learn more about the project by visiting one of the pop-up consultation stalls.
“Feedback from our community will play a major part in shaping the final strategy and setting the priorities for provision and management of community facilities into the future.”
Residents can also get involved in the project through pop-up stalls at Campbelltown’s HJ Daley Library from 3pm to 5.30pm on Wednesday, June 28.
