Leumeah tattoo shop fire suspicious: police

Police are appealing for information following a suspicious fire at a tattoo shop near Campbelltown.

Emergency services were called to the premises of the Ink’d Tattoo Studio on Bradfield Street, Leumeah, after reports of a fire around 10pm last night (Thursday).

The shop was closed for business at the time and there have been no reports of injuries.

A small fire was extinguished by Fire & Rescue NSW; however, the shop suffered minor damage.

Businesses adjacent to the tattoo shop were not damaged in the fire.

Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command established a crime scene and are conducting inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the fire, which is being treated as suspicious.

As investigations continue, police are urging anyone who noticed suspicious activity in the area or has dash cam footage, to come forward.

Ink’d Tattoo Studio meanwhile have posted a notice for their customers on their Facebook page, which reads:

“Due to a fire emergency, we will have to close our doors for the next two days, we will contact each of our booked clients to reschedule but if you see this message and have not been contacted, please message us. We’re sorry for the inconvenience, if you are booked in for a tattoo with us on the 7th of March or any date thereafter please watch this page in case of further updates. Thanks you for understanding, more details to come.’’
