Tahmoor assault victim in induced coma more than a week later

A young man remains in a coma in hospital more than a week after he was assaulted.

In the meantime, police continue their investigations into the incident, which took place in the Wollondilly Shire town of Tahmoor.

About 5am on Monday (December 27, 2021), emergency services were called to a carpark in Thirlmere Way, Tahmoor, following reports of an assault.

Police arrived to find the victim, a 20-year-old man, who had suffered serious facial and head injuries.

The injured man was taken to Liverpool Hospital where he remains in an induced coma.

Officers attached to Camden Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances of the assault.

A small hatchback was seen to arrive and leave the scene during the alleged assault.
