Fisher's Gig
Stonefield will rock Bradbury Oval tonight

Billed as south west Sydney’s biggest all ages, free outdoor music event, this year’s Fisher’s Gig boasts exciting headliner acts supported by an electrifying line-up of young, homegrown talent that is set to rock Bradbury Oval as part of Campbelltown City Council’s annual Festival of Fisher’s Ghost.

A drug and alcohol free event, Fisher’s Gig will be held today, Saturday, November 1, at Bradbury Oval from 2pm to 9pm.

Headlining Fisher’s Gig this year will be up and coming Australian rock band, Stonefield. Don’t miss the riff heavy, blues influenced hard rock of these four sisters – Amy, Hannah, Sarah and Holly Findlay – from rural Victoria.

Their recent success has included the release of their highly anticipated self-titled debut album, winning the Best Regional Act award at the inaugural The Age Music Victoria Awards and establishing their single ‘Love You Deserve’.
Building on their Australian presence, Stonefield has already established a following in the United Kingdom, where the band has performed on a number of occasions.

Fisher’s Gig will also feature must-see performances by Brisbane four-piece band, Millions, and Sydney solo artist, Peter Calvert, who is set to captivate the audience with his acoustics and great art of storytelling.

But for all the excitement of the headlining acts, it will be Macarthur talent that will reign supreme at Fisher’s Gig – with eight acts set to showcase the diversity of musicality that exists within our region.

The local acts include Three Strikes; DJ Icepack; Governor Ready; Talkback Avenue; 48 Frames; Know One; Colour Hide and 1919.

Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr Paul Lake, said Fisher’s Gig was one event simply not to be missed.

“Set against the backdrop of the colourful Fisher’s Ghost carnival, the gig reflects the festival’s vibrant atmosphere and is one of Sydney’s premier youth music events,” Cr Lake said.

“Come along and show your support for this major drawcard event, which continues to provide a platform for launching many young, homegrown music careers.”
