Stabbed man found outside a Woodbine unit has died in hospital

A man has died in hospital following a stabbing near Campbelltown last week.

Just after 7.15pm last Wednesday, November 24, emergency services were called to Queenscliff Drive, Woodbine, after reports an injured man had approached a local resident of a unit for assistance.

A 33-year-old man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for multiple stab wounds, before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command were assisted by specialist forensic police with inquiries to locate a crime scene.

Detectives established Strike Force Botumburra to investigative the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police were notified that the man died in hospital yesterday (Tuesday).

As inquiries continue into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death, police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam vision from the vicinity, to contact Campbelltown Police Station on 4620 1199 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

The body of a man reported missing from Wilton earlier this month has been located in bushland.

The 27-year-old man was last seen on Ambrose Drive in Wilton on November 16.

Officers attached to Camden Police Area Command commenced inquiries into his whereabouts, including a search of nearby bushland.

A body located in bushland at Wilton is yet to be formally identified, but it is believed to be that of the missing man

There are no suspicious circumstances, and a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
