A man has been charged with the attempted murder of his mother at Rosemeadow at the weekend.
Police will allege the 44-year-old woman was alone inside a house on Donalbain Circuit, when her 19-year-old son arrived at the residence and smashed a front window with his arms.
It will be alleged the man then entered the home and seriously assaulted his mother, before leaving through the window and collapsing outside.
Emergency services were called and both parties were taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment.
The woman remains in hospital suffering from severe head injuries. She is now in a stable condition.
The man, who is being treated for severe cuts to his arms, was charged with attempted murder yesterday, Monday.
A bedside hearing was conducted, where bail was formally refused.
He is due to appear before Campbelltown Local Court on June 16.
