skatingkidsCampbelltown City Council, in partnership with Totem Skate School, has announced the extension of the popular skate clinic program.

The council will now host a series of free clinics at Campbelltown and Macquarie Fields skate parks through to December 2015.

The clinics will give aspiring skaters an opportunity to learn from experts and practice their ollies and kickflips.

Participation is open to all ages, with parental permission required for people under 18 years of age, and supervision of younger children necessary.

The workshops are free and all equipment is supplied, including helmets and skateboards.

Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr Paul Lake, said council was committed to providing a range of recreational opportunities for all residents.

“These clinics give young people the opportunity to improve their skills and make new friends in a safe and friendly environment,” Cr Lake said.

• August 15, 3.30pm to 5pm, Campbelltown Skate Park;

• October 17, 4.30pm to 6pm, Campbelltown Skate Park;

• December 19, 4.30pm to 6pm,  Campbelltown Skate Park.
