A man will appear in court today charged with shooting the 25 year old who was dropped off at Campbelltown Hospital for treatment just before midnight on Sunday night.
Police have also seized two loaded firearms in the wake of the shooting.
Police were called to Chisholm Crescent at 11.40pm on Sunday night.
While they were at the house, officers were informed two men had argued resulting in a firearm being discharged and a 25-year-old man receiving a gunshot wound to the leg.
The 25-year old man had already attended hospital to seek treatment.
As a result of inquiries at the scene, police learned of an earlier argument at the same location between two men, aged 27 and 39.
During this earlier argument, it will be alleged a firearm was discharged but no one was injured.
About 10.30am yesterday (Monday, February 12) police stopped a vehicle on Rudd Road at Campbelltown.
The two occupants of that vehicle, a 27-year-old Minto man and a woman, were arrested and taken to Campbelltown Police Station.
Police executed a search warrant at the man’s Minto address, where it will be alleged they located a loaded silver pistol and a loaded shortened rifle.
The 27–year-old man was charged with twice shooting with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
He was also charged with two counts of possession of a prohibited firearm.
The man was refused bail to appear at the Campbelltown Local Court today.
The woman was released without charge.
