Members of Wests Group Macarthur – there are 80,000 of them – are being offered the chance to win $50 meat trays and a $1000 cash prize if they share their vaccination status.
The Arm Yourself, For Macarthur campaign has started today.
Wests Group Macarthur say they are eager to help support NSW vaccination efforts in the Macarthur region and this campaign is an investment in the safety and health of the community.
“We have a responsibility to our members and community to stand in solidarity with the efforts of NSW health to safeguard our community,’’ says the chief executive officer of Wests Group Macarthur, Daniel Perkiss, pictured, below, right.
“We are excited to open our doors and welcome patrons back to their venues in a safe way and we know vaccines provide this opportunity.
“We believe a reopening will be contingent on vaccinations and we want to welcome as many members back as possible.
“This promotion is to say thanks to those members who have pursued vaccination.
“Starting to build a register at this stage of lockdown is our early adopter initiative to make patron visitation less onerous when the time comes.
“It’s also a strong signal to our members that the ability to enjoy golf, draught beer, great food and the odd flutter may be conditional on their vaccination status,’’ Mr Perkiss said.
The campaign is free to enter and allows members to have some fun winning meat trays and cash, just like you would expect from your normal club promotions but run on an online platform.
Wests will be offering 10 x $50 meat trays and a $1,000 cash prize every week for entrants who are current members of Wests Group Macarthur venues.
The draw will take place over Facebook live each week, with collection of the meat trays via a contactless pick up from local butchers.

What happens to members who don’t want to get vaccinated and members who can’t for medical reasons. I think that you will lose a lot of members if you make it mandatory.
