[dropcap]A[/dropcap] free beginners’ course for seniors to safely make financial transactions online will be held at Narellan Library next month.
The Tech Savvy Seniors – Introduction to Online Shopping course will show participants how to make purchases, bank and pay bills online.
“Modern technology makes it possible for you to do all of your errands quickly and easily without leaving your home, leaving you more time to do the things you enjoy,” said Mayor Lara Symkowiak.
“The internet makes everything accessible and overcomes mobility issues and limited transport options,” Cr Symkowiak said.
“With this course, participants will know how to monitor their banking, book a holiday, buy groceries, pay their bills and more,” she said.
The course is designed to assist seniors who have limited or no experience in using technology.
It will be held 1pm-3pm, Monday, April 16 at Narellan Library.
Bookings are essential and can be made via the library website, www.library.camden.nsw.gov.au/bookings

Tech Savvy Seniors is a learning initiative provided in partnership with Telstra, the NSW State Government and State Library of NSW.

In other Camden news, construction will soon begin on a new neighbourhood, interactive play space in Bandara Circuit, Spring Farm.
Council endorsed the $757,000 construction contract of the project that will be a mixture of recreational play space with a passive open space and picnic areas. The playground equipment and design costs bring the total project price to $1 million.
The area is bounded by a creek line, riparian vegetation and an extensive interconnected
path network.
The play equipment to be installed at the site includes trampolines, handrope climbers, rock hold gripps, slides, swings, dish and plato spinner and
multi play piece, a 6m eagles nest.
