Community forums and a survey will help shape a new council library strategy in Campbelltown.
Campbelltown City Council is developing a strategic plan which will be used to guide the future provision of library services in our city.
The library survey can be found online here or in hard copy at council’s four library services.
Survey participants will have the chance to win one of four $50 gift cards from Visa, Zing Pop Culture, Hobbyco or Gametraders.
The survey closes at midnight on Sunday, May 7.
The development of the plan will provide Campbelltown Council with an opportunity to explore the needs and expectations of the community, to look at emerging trends in libraries and to respond to different generational needs.
Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr George Brticevic, said libraries played an important role in our community, and encouraged residents to share their vision for our libraries.
“Libraries are not only a place to learn and read, and access books and information, they provide a place for the community to bond over activities, including Storytime for preschoolers or English conversation classes,” he said.
[social_quote duplicate=”no” align=”default”]“It is vital that our libraries adapt as our community grows and changes, and council is calling for input to ensure our library services best meet the needs of our community into the future.”[/social_quote]
