Attention all kids in the Liverpool area: Santa is heading your way. When he does, on Thursday, December 1, it will be in the heart of Liverpool CBD, Macquarie Mall.

But seeing Santa arrive is not all that’s happening: you will be able to get your photo with him, and there will be free sleigh and pony rides as well as the lighting of the big Christmas tree to look forward to.

Festivities will start from 5pm and conclude at 10pm.

Live music will include an appearance from the St Luke’s choir and carollers singing popular tunes and there will also be a free screening of The Grinch, the 2018 animated version.

Santa Claus will be there from 5pm and until 10pm so grab the opportunity to tell him what you’d like for Christmas this year.

There will also be story time sessions with Mrs Claus.

Market stallswill have stocking fillers, or other presents for under the tree. There will be handmade jewellery, candles and soap as well as all sorts of festive goodies.

Food stallswill offer delicious ideas for dinner and dessert from sweet to savoury.

Light installations will illuminate Macquarie Mall and Macquarie Street in brilliant fashion to create an exciting atmosphere.
