A samurai sword and a loaded firearm were seized when two men were arrested following a police operation in the south west earlier today.
About 8.45am police were contacted by members of the public after a Pantech truck had been seen driving erratically on Remembrance Drive, Camden.
A short time later, the truck was involved in a collision with a Proton ute at the intersection of Camden Valley Way and Old Northern Road, Narellan.
Police were told two men got out of the truck and threatened the male driver of the ute with a sawn-off shotgun.
The pair then returned to the truck and drove from the location onto the Northern Road.
No one was injured.
Police from Camden Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.
Inquiries revealed the occupants had later attended a liquor store on Bringelly Road, Rossmore.
About 11am, police from Green Valley Local Area Command passed the truck travelling along Elizabeth Drive, Cecil Park, when it pulled to the side of the road and the two occupants ran onto a nearby property.
During a subsequent search of the truck, police located and seized a loaded sawn-off shotgun and a samurai sword.
Officers from across South West Metropolitan Region, the Dog Unit, and PolAir coordinated an extensive search of the area.
A 30-year-old Glenfield man was arrested a short distance away and taken to Green Valley Police Station, where he is assisting with inquiries.
A 35-year-old Ingleburn man was arrested about 2.30pm near Cecil Road, Cecil Park, and taken to Green Valley Police Station, where he is assisting with inquiries.
