Campbelltown will be rocked by some of Australia’s biggest artists next January, including local sensations, The Rubens.

The boys from Menangle Park will be one of the headline acts for Out of Bounds, a brand new music festival for the Macarthur region and south west Sydney.

In what is expected to be a big hit among local young people, Campbelltown Sports Ground athletics centre will be the venue for Out of Bounds.

The Rubens, pictured, will be joined by ARIA award-winning hip hop artist, Illy as the headline acts for the festival.

Presented by I OH YOU and Frontier Touring, Out of Bounds will be an all ages event (15 plus) and will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 1pm to 10pm.

Mallrat, Trophy Eyes, WAAX, Alex The Astronaut, GRAACE, Clypso and Lex Deluxe will also perform, along with DJ sets from DZ Deathrays and Northeast Party House.

Campbelltown mayor George Brticevic says Out of Bounds is set to be an exciting new addition to the Macarthur region’s line up of big events.

“Attracting a music festival of this scale demonstrates the potential of our city to become a destination of choice for entertainment events,” Cr Brticevic said.

“2020 is shaping up to be an exciting year, especially within the Campbelltown Sports Stadium precinct, which is proving capable of not only hosting world-class sporting events but is also a fantastic concert venue,” he said.

“This a real coup for Campbelltown that can help the area’s economic potential to flourish.”

General public tickets to the music festival will go on sale from Tuesday, 17 September.
