With enormous capacity and a floor plan the size of two and a half football fields, Grace Information & Records Management’s (GIRM) newest Campbelltown facility is a major boost to the local economy.

Mayor Paul Lake officially opened the state-of-the art facility last week.

Located adjacent to Grace’s existing building in Hepher Road, GIRM Director, Michael Hyland, said the new facility was essential to meet the growing need for reliable records management.

Grace has experienced tremendous growth in recent years, with the current site close to reaching its capacity of several million records and files. Mr Hyland added “This new development displays Grace’s ongoing commitment to expansion and growth into what is quickly becoming a commercial and industrial hub in south west Sydney”

Grace’s Sydney Manager, Greg Warren said the new facility would increases the company’s capacity to a level that creates one of the largest, most secure, modern and environmentally viable records management facilities in Australia.

After reviewing all the cost and logistical evaluations, the Macarthur region proved to be the most viable and efficient location to expand our business,” Mr Warren said.

As well as acting as a repository for local business records, the GIRM facility will securely store and manage the records of Australia’s largest blue chip companies and government organisations alike,” he added.

The new facility has been purpose built to meet all environmental standards and features all modern energy-saving initiatives.

Despite Campbelltown’s searing summer heat, the building has been constructed with excellent insulation, ventilation and minimal light penetration to maintain temperatures between 15-300C. Similarly, the relative humidity varies little more than 20% hovering between 40-60%.

The facility is protected by:

  • Electronic intruder detection systems with back-to-base alarms
  • 24 hour surveillance monitoring
  • Extensive fire protection systems including sprinkler systems, fire doors and fire alarms which are linked to local fire brigade units.
