Campbelltown City Library Service will join more than 1,000 libraries around the world for the tenth annual celebration of gaming in libraries.
The 2017 International Games Week will be on from Sunday, October 29 to Saturday, November 4.
Council’s four library branches, HJ Daley Library Campbelltown; Eagle Vale, Glenquarie and Ingleburn will celebrate with a range of interactive displays and activities, including coding, board games and more.
The week will end with a celebration of games for all ages at HJ Daley Library from 10.30am to 2.30pm on Saturday, November 4.
Activities will include board games, console gaming, retro arcade games, Pokémon Go lures, and the popular Macarthur Weasleys will play quidditch on the grass outside the library.
Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr George Brticevic, said International Games Day had been such a success across the world, that this year’s tenth annual event had been expanded to allow even more libraries to get involved.
“Locals enjoyed the celebration at HJ Daley Library for the first time last year, and I’m pleased they’ll have even more opportunities to join the games this year, with activities held across four locations,” he said.

The event is free, and bookings are required for some activities.
