Police have released CCTV images of two men they believe can assist with their inquiries into an assault at Leumeah station yesterday morning.
A 53-year-old man had disembarked from a train at Leumeah Railway Station at around 6.20am when he was approached by another man who had been on the same train.
Police were told the man was verbally abused before being punched in the face, causing him to lose his footing and fall to the ground where he lost consciousness.
Police and NSW Ambulance Paramedics were called and the man was taken to Campbelltown Hospital suffering a suspected fracture to his leg.
Police from Campbelltown Local Area Command are now investigating the incident and are seeking to identify two men they believe can assist with inquiries.
CCTV images depict the first man as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170-175cm tall with a thin build and brown hair worn in a pony tail.
He is wearing a grey hooded jacket and black pants.
The second man is depicted as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170-175cm tall with a thin build and blond hair. He is wearing a green hooded jacket and blue jeans.
Police are appealing for those men or anyone who knows their identity to come forward.
They would also like to hear from any person who has information about the incident.
