Pizza delivery driver robbed at Eagle Vale – teen charged

[dropcap]A[/dropcap] teenager has been charged over the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver at Eagle Vale overnight.

About 8.30pm last night the driver, a 26-year-old woman, was confronted by a youth after delivering pizza to a home on Emerald Drive.

The assailant threatened the woman with a knife before fleeing with the food and her money.

Police were alerted and officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command commenced an investigation.

A short time later, a 16-year-old boy was arrested inside a nearby home.

He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he was charged with armed robbery and was bail refused to appear at a children’s court today (Monday, March 26).

A young boy found wandering near Campbelltown with no shoes on Sunday afternoon has been reunited with his family.

Police say the boy, who was found alone on Guise Road, Bradbury, about 2pm, was aged between three and four years old and was of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance.

The toddler, who was wearing a jumper and shorts, was taken to Campbelltown Police Station.

While local police officers continued to canvass the area where the boy was found, other agencies were notified and inquiries got under way.

About 7.30pm last night, his parents contacted police and the family has since been reunited.

Police thanked the media and the community for their assistance in trying to reunite the toddler with his family.
