Paramedic stabbed at Queen Street fast food restaurant

A man has been arrested after a NSW Ambulance paramedic was stabbed in Campbelltown this morning.

Details about the incident are sketchy at present, but around 5.30am (Friday, April 14, 2023) officers from Campbelltown Police Area Command were called to a fast food restaurant on Queen Street, in the central business district of Campbelltown, following reports there had been a stabbing.

On arrival, they found the victim, a male paramedic, being treated at the scene before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital. No details have been provided as to his condition.

A man was arrested at the scene and taken to Campbelltown Police Station, where he is currently assisting police with inquiries.

A crime scene has been established, which will be forensically examined by specialist officers.

Members of the public are urged to avoid the area this morning.
