Respected business leader, mentor, and community advocate Pania Gregson has been named Wollondilly Local Woman of the Year for 2025.
The honour recognises her decades of dedication to small businesses, economic development, and community networks.
Ms Gregson, who has more than 30 years of experience across various business and community sectors, has been instrumental in shaping the Wollondilly business landscape.
As president of the Wollondilly Business Chamber, she led its 2024 expansion, ensuring the chamber represents the entire region more effectively.
Her leadership, strategic vision, and passion for advocacy have made a lasting impact on local businesses and the broader community.
Local MP Judy Hannan, who nominated Ms Gregson, pictured above, for the award, expressed her admiration for her.
“Pania is a well-known, highly respected community leader,’’ she said.
“Her tireless dedication to fostering the prosperity of others makes her an extraordinary leader, and her contributions to Wollondilly are immeasurable.”
Beyond her chamber role, Ms Gregson is a trusted business mentor, providing guidance and support to entrepreneurs and small business owners across Macarthur, Narellan, and Wollondilly.
She is also a strong advocate for women in business, playing an active role in the Wollondilly Women in Business Network, where she shares her expertise and experience to empower other women.
Her influence extends beyond business; she is actively involved in economic development, the night-time economy, and Tourism Connect initiatives, demonstrating strategic leadership in strengthening Wollondilly’s local industries.
“I am honoured and humbled to be named Wollondilly Local Woman of the Year,’’ Ms Gregson said.
“Being in a room with so many inspiring women was an incredible experience. The recognition and celebration by so many people have been astonishing, and I’m truly grateful.
She said that winning this award during NSW Women’s Week, leading up to International Women’s Day, carried special significance.
“I hope my win inspires others to believe that their contributions are noticed and appreciated, and that they are worthy of recognition and celebration,” Ms Gregson said.
Well deserved recognition Pania and not just Wollondilly Local Woman of the Year but should be Wollondilly person of the year, because your contribution to the growth of the Wollondilly Business Chamber will make a difference to many people well after your tenure has passed by.
