The M-League round two feature matches last weekend may have ended up as one sided affairs, but they still offered fans plenty of entertainment – and goals galore.

Thick fog rolled in just before kick-off, making it tough conditions for all but it didn’t stop Oran Park from defeating Camden Tigers 9-1 in the men’s M-League, while in the women’s comp Oran Park toppled St Mary’s 5-0.

The men’s match at Jack Brabham Reserve was a replay of last year’s preliminary final, when the Tigers were too good for Oran Park.

This time around Oran Park returned serve – with interest – putting nine into the net.

The avalanche of goals included a hat-trick from Hallam.

Oran Park 9 (Hallam 3, Clissold 2, Beezem 2, P. Hasiuk 1, W. Hasiuk 1) Camden Tigers 1 (Hay).

In other men’s matches, Gunners SC 7 defeated Ingleburn 0, Mt Annan 7 were too good for Harrington 0 and Eschol Park 2 went down to Narellan Rangers 5.

In the men’s reserve grade Gunners 1 – Ingleburn 1, Mt Annan 5 – Harrington 0, Narellan 2 – Eschol Park 1 and Oran Park 3 – Camden Tigers 1.

In the U21s (Colts), Harrington 0 lost to Camden Tigers 4, Ingleburn 2 defeated Narellan 1, Tahmoor 2 lost to  Eschol Park 3. Oran Park – bye.

The women’s match of the round saw newly promoted St Mary’s travel to Jack Brabham Reserve to take on Oran Park on Saturday night.

Matich, Haim, Clare, Roth, and Buxton all hit the score sheet as the Rovers cruised to a 5-0 win.
