Both missing teenagers now found, third charged

Kentlyn bush: focus of search for two teenagers. One has now been found and arrested.

Police have located the second teenager who went missing following a pursuit in Campbelltown earlier this week.

Just after 11am last Monday, police were involved in a pursuit with an allegedly stolen black BMW, which ended in a reserve off Banooke Way in Airds.

The four teenagers in the car fled and a large scale land and air search commenced.

About 9pm on Monday, one of the boys contacted his mother informing her that he and another teen were lost in the bush.

Investigations narrowed down the search area to near Keith Longhurst Reserve at Kentlyn.

Extensive searches were conducted over the following days; however, the boys were not located.

About 9am today, one of the 14-year-old’s was spotted on Woolwash Road at Holsworthy. He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station.

A short time ago, police located the second teen in bushland near Woolwash Road. Both teens have been taken to hospital for assessment.

Yesterday, another teenager, 15, was arrested in Minto and charged with being in a conveyance taken without the consent of the owner. He was refused bail and was set to appear at Childrens Court today, Friday.

Inquiries are continuing.
