A new Campbelltown Experience Guide which details the diverse range of attractions, events, dining options and activities on offer is now available.
The 100-page guidebook produced by council has something for nature lovers, highlighting Campbelltown’s natural attractions, including Dharawal National Park, the Georges River and the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan or visitors can gaze at the stars, planets and galaxies at the Campbelltown Rotary Observatory.
For the adventurous, adrenaline junkies, activities such as paintballing, go-karting, laser skirmish, mountain biking, horse riding and breathtaking hot-air balloon rides are also featured in the guidebook, as are the city’s cultural spots, such as the Campbelltown Arts Centre.
The guide shines a light on Campbelltown’s live music scene, providing information on local stars and the venues that support live music in the area, as well as the many local wineries, craft breweries and popular eateries throughout the region.
For those with an interest in history, one section focuses on the city’s colonial past and the attractions which enable visitors to get a taste of early colonial life, including the Campbelltown Heritage Precinct, Dredge’s Cottage and Glenalvon House, the two-storey sandstone Georgian townhouse dating back to 1840.
The Campbelltown Experience Guide is aimed at promoting the city as a rural, historical and cultural getaway, conveniently located less than an hour from Sydney’s CBD.
