The World on a Plate will kick off Good Food Month at the Liverpool Night Markets on Saturday, October 3.
With stalls offering a diverse array of cuisines from all over the globe you will be able to take your tastebuds on a gastronomic tour of the world.
And there’s a choice of approach: either a one hour TASTE Liverpool World on a Plate Food Crawl, or a traditional Maori hangi.
The Pop Up Library also returns with Story Time, Games and a wide range of cook books to inspire you in the kitchen.
“From Middle Eastern cuisine through to Indian, Italian and South American food, I encourage everyone to come and sample the World on a Plate at Macquarie Street, Liverpool, on October 3,” said Liverpool Mayor Ned Mannoun.
“Building on the success of the Pacific themed Night Market in September, I am also very excited that we have a traditional hangi coming to Liverpool,” he said.
“The Kapai Te Maori Kai hangi includes a range of meat and vegetables slow cooked in an earth oven.
“I am proud of Liverpool’s culinary traditions – where else in Australia can you eat food from Afghanistan, Lebanon, Fiji, India, Italy and Argentina, all in the one place?”
There will also be plenty of live music, limbo dancing, rides, market stalls and kids’ activities, so bring the whole family along.
The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Month is a month long celebration of the ultimate dining experiences.
Tickets to the TASTE Liverpool World on a Plate Food Tour are just $15. Pre-booking online is highly recommended to avoid missing out on a place.
TASTE will also be running a more comprehensive food tour of Liverpool on October 31.
