Good move, NBN, says MP Angus Taylor
Good move, NBN, says MP Angus Taylor of online information improvements.

Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor has welcomed NBN’s new check your address web function that can provide a date range for when a service will be available at an individual address.

“The number one question that customers ask about the NBN is, when will I get it,” Mr Taylor said.

“This new check your address tool gives individual households and businesses more specific information to answer that question.

“This is a positive move to provide even more accurate and timely information about the rollout.”

The new function provides more updated information than the old public three year construction plan, which was based on suburbs rather than individual addresses, and based on construction commenced dates, not Ready For Service dates.

“The online roll-out map now also includes a new planned status to show people that their area has been scheduled for design and construction.

“Once in planning, NBN can provide an estimate of the time when services in that area will be available.”

Households and businesses can also register their details so that NBN can contact them as more updated information becomes available on construction beginning or services being available.

“For more details, people can visit my offices in Goulburn or Camden, email me on angus.taylor.mp@aph.gov.au au or visit the NBN website here,” Mr Taylor said.

“If anyone has a problem with their NBN, I encourage them to contact their service provider and lodge a fault, but if it isn’t resolved in a reasonable time frame, my office is more than happy to assist and work through the issue.”

The NBN has now reached more than 18,000 premises in Hume (as of November 25, 2016) – and 8 million addresses nationally.
