Giving back to the community is part and parcel of Mt Annan Hotel.

They consistently support Lifeline Macarthur through smaller fundraising activities, are a proud sponsor of local sports teams and in August helped to raise $1,200 for the Sunflower Cottage in conjunction with their local social golf club.

The venue’s dedication to helping the community is something they’ve become very proud of and strive to do at every opportunity.

The venue is continuing to look for unique ways to give back to the community and encourage any local teams or charities in need of support to reach out.

On Sunday, September 29, Mt Annan Hotel will be holding their first ever Footy Colours Family Fun Day.

The day will feature a jumping castle, sweet treats for the kids, an NRL grand final ticket giveaway and meat raffles.

Customers are encouraged to wear their favourite team’s colours and join in on the festivities and fundraising on the day.

Footy Colours Day is a part of a national fundraising campaign with all money raised going towards education support programs to keep kids learning while they undergo cancer treatment.

Having decided to take part, the team at Mt Annan Hotel are keen to help the cause and are hopeful that they can raise more than $3,000 for the Fight Cancer Foundation – and bring local families together for a great day out.

Manager Jasmine Francis-Mead says Mt Annan Hotel was eager to host the day.

The reason was simple.

“A number of customers that are a part of the Mt Annan community have either been personally touched by cancer or know some that has been touched by it,’’ she explained.

She is hopeful that the day will not only help to raise money, but also be a conversation starter and support for Mt Annan residents.
