He’s already an outspoken advocate for better transport services and infrastructure but now Campbelltown MP Greg Warren will have a seat closer to the action.
He has just been appointed to the NSW Parliament’s Legislative Assembly committee on transport and infrastructure.
The committee of three Coalition and two Labor MPs is responsible for conducting inquiries, investigating policy options and making recommendations to the government.
Mr Warren said the decision to join the committee was a no-brainer, given the enormous strain being placed on road and transport infrastructure across South West Sydney as a result of massive population growth and urban development.
“I’m delighted to have the opportunity to participate in this committee and advocate for better road and public transport infrastructure here in the Macarthur region and across the state,’’ he said.

“The committee is in the middle of its inquiry into parking at train stations, so that will be the first item of business – it is particularly relevant here in South West Sydney where just about every station has a severe shortage of commuter parking,’’ Mr Warren said.
The transport and infrastructure committee is currently completing an inquiry into commuter car parking across NSW and Mr Warren said his first order of business on the committee will be drawing the Berejiklian Government’s attention to the severe lack of commuter car parking across South West Sydney.
Mr Warren will not receive any additional remuneration for his role on the committee.
