Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage boy missing from the Camden area.

Brayden Steward, aged 13, was last seen in Narellan about 3.30pm last Thursday.

When he could not be contacted or located, officers from Camden Police Area Command were notified the next day and immediately commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

There are serious concerns for Brayden’s welfare due to his age.

A man has appeared in Picton Local Court after firearm parts and weapons were seized from a home in Tahmoor.

In October 2021, officers from South West Metropolitan Region established Strike Force Hawk to target and disrupt organised criminal networks operating in Sydney.

As part of their inquiries, officers from Camden Police Area Command attended a home in Hilton Park Road, Tahmoor, to conduct a Firearm Prohibition Order (FPO) compliance search.

During a search of the property, investigators located a slingshot and the barrel to a .22 rifle. These items were seized to undergo forensic examination.

A 54-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Narellan Police Station, where he was charged with using a prohibited weapon contrary to prohibition order, possess or use a prohibited weapon without a permit, possess a barrel for a firearm unless authorised by licence, and firearm found at premises-subject to prohibition order.
