Police appeal for missing teenage boy from Camden

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate this teenage boy missing from the Camden area for more than a week.

Awab Farhan, aged 13, was last seen at a residence on Berallier Drive, Camden South, about 1.30pm on Saturday, July 15.

When he failed to return and could not be contacted, officers from Camden Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare due to his age.

He is described as being of African appearance, 175cm tall, of a thin build, with black hair and brown eyes.

Awab was last seen wearing a grey jumper, black pants, and black shoes.

Following inquiries, it is believed he was seen on Cardwell Street, Canley Vale, about 10.15am over the weekend (Saturday, July 22).

He is known to frequent the Cabramatta, Hurstville, Marrickville, Miranda, and Redfern areas.

Awab is also known to travel frequently on the Sydney train network.

Anyone with information of his whereabouts is urged to contact Camden Police Area Command or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 immediately.
