In other Camden police news, the Police Association of NSW (PANSW) has welcomed the announcement of a further eight police officers being allocated to the Camden police district.

The PANSW “Back the Blue” campaign in 2018 saw an unprecedented State Government commitment of 1500 new police positions across the state.

“Since 2019, the campaign has resulted in 33 new police positions being allocated to the Camden district,” says Shaun Baker, chair of the local PANSW Branch.

“The allocations have seen both general duties and specialist roles such as child protection being added to the command’s various police stations.

“Our branch has been working hard to see these additional resources allocated that were needed to police our fast-growing population and ensure we have the numbers to respond to our community.”
