Police appealing for public assistance to locate this 29 year old Werombi man reported missing almost one week ago have turned their focus to his rural neighbours.
They are urging Camden South, Razorback, Cawdor, Glenmore, The Oaks, Werombi, Orangeville, Picton and residents of surrounding areas to check the boundaries of their properties to assist in the search of Matthew Barrett.
He was last seen leaving a friend’s home on Ettledale Road in Spring Farm around 7.45pm almost a week ago on Thursday, February 27.
He has not been seen or heard from since and was reported missing when he failed to turn up to work last Friday.
Police searched his home address at McLeay Road, Werombi and could not locate Matthew or his motorcycle, a red Honda 650 with registration plates KRF93.
Police are continuing an extensive air and ground search but are urging rural property owners to assist in the efforts.
His family hold concerns for his welfare and Camden Police Area Command are appealing for public assistance to locate him.
Matthew is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175-180cm tall, of a medium build, with light brown hair.

In a separate incident, a 68-year-old man is in hospital with critical injuries after the car he was driving crashed into a tree yesterday afternoon.
The man was driving his 2004 model blue Ford utility west along Oaks Road, Thirlmere at the time.
About 500 meters west of the intersection of Estonian Road it appears the vehicle has crossed to the incorrect side of the road and crashed into a tree.
Nearby residents came to the aid of the driver and contacted emergency services who arrived on scene minutes later.
The man was treated before being air-lifted to Liverpool Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Officers from Camden Police Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam vision to come forward.
