If the first Tuesday in November means the Melbourne Cup, the first Saturday in March brings the harness racing equivalent, the $1 million Miracle Mile at Tabcorp Park, Menangle.
The running of the Miracle Mile is the grand finale of a three week harness racing carnival and it attracts thousands of sports fans.
The 2021 Garrard’s Miracle Mile is on this Saturday night at the magnificent Menangle racing and leisure complex, located a few minutes’ drive from the heart of Campbelltown.
Club Menangle boasts not only the fastest track in the Southern Hemisphere but also superb modern facilities for the thousands of fans and corporate groups who will again attend this national sporting event.
One of 10 races on the program, the Miracle Mile will be run at the end.
Harness racing fans will be very keen to see if last year’s winner and TAB favourite for 2021 King of Swing goes back to back.
However the completion of the main race won’t be the end of a fabulous night at one of Macarthur’s premier sport and hospitality destinations.
The opening last year of Menangle Country Club on the site of the Horse and Jockey Inn has added another dimension to Club Menangle.
It means that the night of the Miracle Mile promises to be bigger than ever before with an after party to be hosted at the Country Club following the conclusion of racing.
There will be live music between 10pm and 1am featuring the After Party Band, while the Country Club will be open until 3am.
It will all start from 5pm when gates open to the public.
The first race will be run at 6.15pm, with the big one, the $1 Million Garrard’s Miracle Mile scheduled to take place at 9.36pm.
A live DJ will be on throughout the event from 6pm.
