We do know that Chris Minns is the 47th Premier of NSW. What we don’t know is who is Chris Minns and what makes him tick.

He led the Labor Party to power in the state election held in March this year.

But it’s fair to say that we know very little about the man who leads the state of NSW. We do know that he was born and raised in the St George area.

He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New England and a Masters’ degree from Princeton University in the US, where he won a full scholarship to complete his studies.
He worked in politics, the charity sector and briefly as a retained firefighter while completing his studies.

Minns was elected as the Member for Kogarah in 2015 and became leader of the NSW Labor Party in June 2022 at the relatively young age of 42.

He is married to Anna, a businesswoman and lawyer and is the father of three boys, Joe, Nick, and George.

The importance of education and access to it is one area where Minns is passionate about, mentioning it every chance he gets.

If you are interested in what makes our NSW Premier tick, you can ask him yourself by attending the annual Greater Narellan business chamber Breakfast with the Premier.

Mr Minns will be the guest speaker at the 2023 event, on Thursday, August 10, at Club Menangle Trackside from 7am.

It’s the first opportunity for Macarthur to ask Mr Minns what his vision is for the region – and what makes him tick.
