Former The Voice Australia contestant, Michael Duchesne will be coming to Camden to share his passion and inspiration with young people in a two day song writing workshop.
The guitarist, singer and songwriter will be participating in the free workshop to be held on April 11 and 12.
The workshop will be a lead up to Camden Council’s popular annual event, Camden Shorts, which features live performance works in music, dance and theatre on Friday, June 23.
Duchesne has written more than 60 original songs and has been mentored by Australia’s top international artists from The Voice and X-Factor reality singing competitions on the Channel 9 and 7 networks.
His unique tone and powerful vocal ability has been described as an asset to Australian Soul music.
Duchesne, who was a Western Sydney tradie before his musical career took off, has shared the stage with many music greats, including Ian Moss (Cold Chisel) and Lionel Cole (Mariah Carey).
The workshops will be held 10am-3pm, Tuesday, April 11 and on and Wednesday, April 12 at The Space Digital Studios at Narellan Library.
They are available to people aged between 12 and 25 years who study, live or work in the Camden local government area.
