Meet our newest Miss Princess

Royal title: Marie Rutledge, the long time quest convenor, crowns Olivia Pearsall-Hogden as the 2015 Miss Princess at Macarthur Square.

Leumeah youngster Olivia Pearsall-Hogden is the 2015 Festival of Fisher’s Ghost Miss Princess.

The 11 year old was crowned at a ceremony held in Macarthur Square over the weekend.

As part of her Miss Princess prize, Olivia will receive a $500 Macarthur Square gift card, a trophy and a handmade gold ring from Evans & Son Jewellers.

Miss Princess 2015 runner up Jade Schofield, 10, of Ambarvale, will receive a $300 Macarthur Square gift card and a handmade gold ring from Evans & Sons Jewellers.

Twelve year old Bow Bowing resident, Sarah Jenkins, who was named winner of the June Dally-Watkins Junior Development Course, courtesy of June Dally-Watkins Education and Training, will also receive a $50 Macarthur Square gift card.

Highly commended were Chloe Poole and Allyson Brown, who both received a McDonald’s birthday party and Sunshine Ferreiro-DeLuca and Kayla-Anne Zaranronello, who were each awarded a $50 Macarthur Square gift card.

Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr Paul Hawker, congratulated all of the entrants on their outstanding efforts and community spirit.

“The Miss Princess Quest is a proud tradition of the Festival of Fisher’s Ghost and highlights the wonderful achievements and abilities of young girls from across our city,” Cr Hawker said.

“It reflects the city’s strong sense of community spirit, and to be crowned as festival princess is a special honour.

“This year is the 60th annual Festival of Fisher’s Ghost and it will be a fantastic opportunity for the girls to be a part of the city’s history and one of the most celebrated community festivals in the region,” Cr Hawker said.

Miss Princess Quest entrants will join the annual Festival of Fisher’s Ghost Street Parade on Saturday, November 7.
