The Mayor of Camden, Ashleigh Cagney, says she will be taking her bicycle to this year’s Live It Up, Live It Green for a free check and tune-up.

And Cr Cagney, who is pictured above with her bike, wants everyone else to think about what they will be getting out of Camden’s favourite sustainable living event.

Revolve Recycle will be offering the free bicycle check and tune-up, just one of scores of features at the 2024 iteration of Live It Up, Live It Green.

The free family friendly event will be held at Julia Reserve Community Centre this Saturday, March 9, from 10am-2pm.

It will literally offer something for everyone, with a jam-packed program filled with activities and demonstrations to help everyone live more a more sustainable life.

Some of the fun things taking place on the day include a snake and reptile show, gardening workshops and giveaway – and the above mentioned bike check and tune-up with Revolve Recycle.

There will also be a visit from Fire and Rescue NSW, which is always popular with children and Alan Baker Art Gallery workshops, plus free face painting.

Sustainable living and waste information will be offered, along with a second hand book giveaway.

Check out the Sydney Water Wonders of Water discovery van or grab a waste truck experience, or both.

Mayor Cagney says she wants as many people as people to attend this event.

“Live It Up, Live It Green has been a crowd favourite and that’s why we’re proud to bring it back for this year,” she said.

“Everything on offer will help you live a more sustainable life with plenty of fun for people of all ages to enjoy.”
