Guest speaker at chamber meeting: Russell Matheson with the Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull during campaigning for the July 2 federal election.

He may be gone but he’s not forgotten.

Russell Matheson served six years and two terms as the federal member for Macarthur until he was badly beaten by Labor’s Dr Mike Freelander on July 2 this year.

Mr Matheson, who had also enjoyed a long career with the NSW Police Department, will discuss what the future holds for him when appears as the guest speaker at the Ingleburn chamber’s last 2016 dinner meeting.

The dinner is on next week, December 14, 6.30 for 7pm at Wests Leagues Leumeah.

Mr Matheson also served on Campbelltown Council for many years and was mayor five times during that period.

A local resident himself, he was a big supporter of the Macarthur region generally and the local business people specifically.

It will be interesting to see if Mr Matheson will reveal what type of career he will pursue next.

For more information and to book your seat or table to hear Mr Matheson speak, visit the chamber website here.
