A 25 year old man shot in the leg was dropped off at Campbelltown Hospital for treatment last night.

Police are investigating after a man who suffered a gunshot wound presented at Campbelltown Hospital for treatment last night.

The 25-year-old man was dropped off at the Campbelltown Hospital by person or persons unknown.

He had been shot in the leg.

Police were contacted; however, are yet to speak to the man due to his medical state.

He was in a serious condition that was however not life-threatening, police said.

Officers from Campbelltown Local Area Command went to a home in Campbelltown and established a crime scene.

A number of items were seized and will undergo forensic analysis.

Police are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

♦ In a separate incident, several people were injured in a three vehicle crash in Bringelly on Saturday.

About 1.35pm emergency services were called to the Northern Road, Bringelly, after a minivan, a four-wheel drive, and a truck, collided.

Six persons in the van suffered minor injuries and were taken to local hospitals.

The most serious injury was a head laceration.

The male driver of the four wheel drive was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police from Liverpool Local Area Command are conducting inquiries and investigating the cause of the crash.
