Man, 38, drowns in Mt Annan lake

The body of a 38 year old man has been located in the Mt Annan lake on Swansona Avenue.

Emergency services were called after the man was seen entering the water just before 5pm yesterday but failed to surface.

Officers from Camden Police Area Command who responded to the incident entered the water searching for the man without success

Police divers attended and the body of the 38-year-old man was located about 8.15pm last night.

A crime scene was established, and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Police are appealing for information from the community to locate a man wanted on two outstanding arrest warrants for breaching his reporting obligations.

Jason Brett Pickett, 55, is wanted on two outstanding arrest warrants for breaching his reporting obligations as a registerable person on the Child Protection Register and failing to comply with a Community Corrections Order.

He is known to frequent the Liverpool, Warwick Farm and Cartwright areas.

Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command have conducted numerous inquiries into his whereabouts but have been unable to locate him.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175-185cm tall, with a medium build, brown eyes, long (below shoulder-length) brown/grey hair and wears reading glasses.

If sighted, members of the public are urged to contact local police immediately, otherwise information about his whereabouts can be provided to Crime Stoppers.
