Police will allege that just after 8pm two men, aged 30 and 40, were at a home on Norman Dunlop Crescent, when an altercation commenced between the pair.

Police say the older man had allegedly restrained the younger man when the latter lost consciousness.

Emergency services were called and NSW Ambulance Paramedics assisted the injured man, however, he died at the scene.

Officers from Macquarie Fields Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

The older man was arrested and taken to Macquarie Fields Police Station.

He has been charged with manslaughter and refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court later today.

About 4.50pm on Saturday, June 25, a man armed with a knife entered a beauty salon on Queen Street and demanded money from employees and customers.

He fled the scene a short time later taking a handbag. The man was last seen running from Queen Street to Campbelltown Arcade.

No one was injured during the incident.

Officers from the Metropolitan Robbery Unit have been conducting investigations into the incident and as they continue their inquiries, they would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of slim build and tall.

The man was last seen wearing a white hooded jumper, long pants and was carrying a high-visibility jumper.
