McDonald’s in Macarthur has donated more than $5,000 to support the work of Youth Solutions.

The money was raised at the annual charity fun night initiative held last week.

The 2022 charity fun night saw 10 percent of Wednesday evenings’ sales from the 16 local restaurants pledged to Youth Solutions, to support its youth drug and alcohol harm prevention work across Macarthur and Wingecarribee.

“We are so thrilled with the result of the 2022 Charity Fun Night and extend our sincere thanks to McDonald’s in Macarthur and all of the community members who supported the initiative last week,”says Youth Solutions chief executive officer Geraldine Dean.

“The $5061 raised will go a long way in supporting our youth drug and alcohol prevention work.

“The charity fun night was also a great opportunity for Youth Solutions to raise its profile and share our support services with the wider community,’’ Ms Dean said.

“We know McDonald’s in Macarthur is always looking out for our young people and we thank them for their continued support of Youth Solutions.”

Local licensee Peter Meadows said McDonald’s in Macarthur was pleased to continue supporting Youth Solutions and the contribution it makes to the lives of the Macarthur region’s young people.

“We’ve been supporting Youth Solutions for some time as we share similar values around taking care of our young people and contributing positively to the community,’’ Mr Meadows said.

“As one of the largest youth employers in Macarthur, we know how important it is to provide support networks for the next generation.

“We hope our contribution can help Youth Solutions to continue to provide that support.”

The participating McDonald’s in Macarthur restaurants included: Narellan Town Centre, Macarthur Square, Campbelltown Mall (food courts), Campbelltown, Minto, Glenquarie, Woodbine, Mt Annan, Eagle Vale, Narellan, Rosemeadow, Camden, Gregory Hills, Spring Farm, Emerald Hills and Oran Park (drive-throughs).
