If you’re planning to have Maccas for dinner next Wednesday, July 27, make sure your order your family meal between 5pm and 7pm.

That’s because 10 percent of all sales at McDonald’s in Macarthur outlets over those two hours will be given to Lifeline Macarthur and Western Sydney for their crisis support and suicide prevention services.

The participating McDonald’s in this annual charity fun night are: Campbelltown, Minto, Glenquarie, Woodbine, Mt Annan, Eagle Vale, Narellan, Rosemeadow, Camden, Gregory Hills, Spring Farm, Emerald Hills, Oran Park, and Ingleburn.

But if your preference for Maccas is at a shopping centre food court, you will be catered for as well, but a little earlier if you’d like 10 percent of what you pay going to Lifeline.

So between 3-5pm on the same day – Wednesday, July 27 – McDonald’s food court locations in Campbelltown Mall, Narellan Town Centre, and Macarthur Square will also be fundraising for Lifeline across the two hour period.

“McDonald’s in Macarthur are proud to once again support Lifeline Macarthur and Western Sydney, which in turn support the local community,’’ says Peter Meadows, the licensee of the McDonald’s outlets taking part on Wednesday, July 27.

“Lifeline Macarthur and Western Sydney do such important work in the Macarthur region, and we are honoured to continue our long-term partnership.”

In the past two years, Lifeline Macarthur and Western Sydney, which have their headquarters in Smeaton Grange, have experienced an ever-increasing need for their crisis support and suicide prevention services with calls for help coming to the Lifeline 13 11 14 phone line on average every 30 seconds.

All money raised through the McDonald’s charity fun day will help fund the ongoing delivery of these critical services and help save lives.

“This is a great initiative where the Macarthur community can help us continue to deliver our life saving services just by enjoying their favourite McDonald’s meal,’’ says Lifeline Macarthur and Western Sydney CEO, Brad Hannagan.

“We are very grateful for McDonald’s in Macarthur ongoing support and for partnering with us for the charity fun day.’’
